Cucumis sativus
Fast-growing variety with thick pulp, known and popular since the early 20th century.
The fast-growing land cucumber Johanna forms heavy, long cucumbers with lots of pulp. If harvested earlier, while the skin is still dark green, it is suitable as a delicate and productive cucumber. As the fruits get older and the skin begins to lighten, the land cucumbers can be harvested as mustard or peeled cucumbers. As a historical variety, the large 30-35cm long fruits also thrive outdoors.
